David Prichard

David Prichard and Lily Mak are photojournalists and dive instructors who have traveled extensively around the world on assignments for Dive Training, Wreck Diving Magazine as well as other scuba and travel publications. David and Lily have gained a wealth of travel knowledge both as trip leaders and traveling solo to international destinations. The talk will included how digital TTL works and when to use it, camera pixels and resolution, Raw and Jpeg files, strobe set-up and testing, in camera video, camera accessories and much more. UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY WITH COMPACT DIGITAL CAMERAS

Phil Rudin will be teaching a two hour UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY WITH COMPACT DIGITAL CAMERAS seminar on Friday 12 February 2010 from five to 8 PM at TexasDive Show. The class is directed at photographers using the compact camera systems and those wanting to get into underwater photography. Students are encouraged to bring their cameras to the seminar. A verity of equipment will also be on display for those interested. Topics being covered will include an introduction to using digital underwater, camera and strobe systems, raw and Jpag. file use, wet and dry lens adaptors, strobe selection and use, enhancing your images in post processing and much more. Macro Photography

Phil Rudin will be teaching a three hour MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY seminar on Saturday from 10:AM to 1 PM at Texas Dive Show. This class is for all skill levels and will provide hands-on assistance with both consumer compact cameras and DSLR’s. You are encouraged to bring your cameras to the seminar so that we can share ideas on how to get the best images out of your equipment. Topics covered will include lens and subject selection, proper exposures, use of TTL and manual strobe lighting, shooting in RAW, lens diopters, extension tubes, tele converters, composition and much more. We will also cover some of the issues involved with enhancing your images in post processing. The fee for the course is $50.00 and includes a free VIP pass good for entry to the show both days. About Phil Rudin

Phil Rudin began taking photographs underwater while he was in the U.S. Navy in 1968. He is now a freelance writer/travel photographer, Senior Photographer for Dive Chronicles magazine and DC Dive Shows. As past President of the South Florida Underwater Photography Society, Phil has served on the Board of Directors for over sixteen years and enjoys the diverse makeup of the club membership. Phil is retired from the West Palm Beach Florida Police Department where he served as Dive Team Commander for the city. With thirty years experience as a public safety diver and dive team manager Phil has done over five hundred recovery dives during his carrier. Phil has recovered vehicles, aircraft, evidence, bodies and more. Other dive team duties included hull inspections of large commercial vessels, underwater crime scene management, crime scene photography, collection of evidence, training and more. Phil has also traveled extensively throughout the world to pursue his passion for underwater photography. His images have appeared in magazines such as Popular Science, Reflections, Scuba Diving Magazine, Underwater Journal, Skin Diver, Florida Underwater, South Florida Adventures, Waterways, The Sun, Dive Chronicles and others. Phil also lectures on travel destinations, public safety diving and photography around the country. He also teaches at digital seminars in Cozumel and St Croix. Phil currently uses Olympus cameras and lenses, Olympus and SeaTool camera housings, Athena and Olympus lens ports and Inon float arms with Inon strobes and close-up lenses.
